Matt - Induction Session/Feedback (During Week 6)
First 6 weeks - Achievement
- Working as a team - Rangahau - I am very lucky to have cooperative and effective working relationships with my fellow Rangahau team members - I really appreciate their support and collaboration.
- Behaviour management & student-teacher relationships - I feel that I have worked hard to establish a positive environment and relationships with students - We are a team =)

- Room 27 Blog - This has proven to be a valuable tool for sharing learning to the wider school community. Feedback has been positive and all parents are subscribed to receive updates. I am excited to see where this will go this year.
- Communicating with parents/caregivers - Building on from the ‘meet the teacher’ evening I have endeavoured to build a familiarity with parents/caregivers - I have had a handful of face-to-face meetings for target students. I also requested a meeting with a local health nurse to discuss a programme that would best suit the needs of a child in Room 27 that has a medical condition - the feedback from parents has been positive =) The blog has been a great way to share & receive information from parents (in conjunction with the agenda books)
- PRT Release - I am unsure about the procedure for this - Should I be applying? (Who to?) Do I need to take it? How often?
- Planning - Should I be storing my electronic versions on ‘teacher shared’?
- Differentiation - Particularly mathematics
- Further Embedding ICT

The induction programme checklist (from the booklet) was a life-saver - It really helped in knowing who to talk to and what was required of me.
